Okay, so we probably talked about this before but it’s so very important it deserves repetition.   One of the main reasons that people fail to accomplish their goals or make significant progress in their lives is, quite simply, that they give up.  Knowing when and how to keep on keeping on is a fundamental skill.  Knowing that part of your mission in life requires the unglamorous task of simply showing up can bring hope during the dark days of discouragement.

Julia and I take advantage of my jet lag and just tell stories about the big events in our lives the past week.  My sister-in-law’s wedding, in Taiwan, and Julia’s 50th birthday blowout at Sierra Hot Springs.   Some lessons are learned and advice given but mostly we just celebrate the variety of experience that comes from staying alive and connected to friends and family.
