Set sound goals and have confidence in their accomplishment

The I-Ching’s most famous verse simply says “Perserverance Furthers”.  Often the difference between the man who fails and the one who succeeds is simply that one kept trying.  There’s the famous myth about the mouse who falls into a vat of cream.  He cannot get out but he keeps trying and soon his feeble paddling has turned the cream into solid butter that allows him to hop out of the bucket.  Let’s hope our efforts are more rewarding but simply showing-up is a major part of realizing ultimate success.  If the Law of Attraction tells us that what we think of most is what will manifest than constancy in working towards our goals is going to go a long way towards their accomplishment.

Hello Ira & Julia, I’ve been a loyal listener of your podcasts since discovering them about 2 months ago. I just went for my morning “podcast walk” and listened to your 8/30 presentation. I try to walk each day so I can listen to podcasts!! At any rate, I just wanted to thank you for today’s show in particular. I’m at a crossroads in my work life and find I’m resisting going back into high tech corporate life. My heart yearns to discover that “thing” where I can happily & enthusiastically put my energy. It’s painful to live in a place of yearning. I have much to offer - I KNOW I do. Right after listening to your podcast, I listened to Dido’s “White Flag,” which always brings me to tears. Even though the song is about a relationship, I hear in that song a determination to not surrender that can be applied to anything - “I will go down with the ship…No white flag above my door.” That’s how I feel and I guess the tears come because I still yearn for the fulfillment to making others’ lives better. Bless you both and thank you for being a positive light!
