You’re Mind is Open. Right?

May 15th, 2008

We all make assumptions regularly. Some of our assumptions are rational and deliberate. Some are unconscious and reflexive. Some are instinctive. Some are merely habitual. Whatever the source of our assumptions, we must examine them because very often, these ingrained habitual viewpoints are limiting not just our view of the world but our possibilities for prosperity and accomplishment as well. In a dualistic material world, there seems to be no absolute truth but there can be certainty. The certainty that life is a process of growth and change and what we believe to be true may turn out to be wrong. Challenge your assumptions and see your personal growth skyrocket.

The Darkest Hour is Before the Dawn

April 24th, 2008

Many times in our lives we have significant setbacks in our attempts to achieve our goals.  These losses can be in many forms such as the loss of a loved one or a job.  We might suffer from diseases, a relationship disaster or societal prejudice.  People often get in trouble with the law or have substance abuses problems or traffic accidents.  The list of ways in which we can suffer is, unfortunately, endless.  But in all cases, we can apply the principles of faith and the spiritual masters to marshall our inner resources and rise to and above the occasion.

Powerful thought and speech with Meditation

April 17th, 2008

In the dictionary there are 4 definitions for meditation.  Briefly, to contemplate, to focus, to plan or as a mental exercise to increase spiritual awareness.  If you combine those, you have what we mean by meditation.  Using your mind effectively to enhance your life.   The famous story about Archimedes shouting Eureka for finding the solution to his problem after relaxing in the bath illustrates the point we wish to make here.  However we train or trick the mind into a state of relaxed concentration, the result is the same.  We will be rewarded with clearer thoughts leading to better outcomes and a prosperous life.  It’s quite simply a no brainer.

Impeccably Right Speech

April 10th, 2008

One thing we’ve emphasized at the Prosperity Podcast is that The Law of Attraction is mastered through practice, reptition and positive habits. Yet, many of us who pay attention to new age mainstays such as vision boards and treasure boxes, neglect the most basic of our every day practices. To pick our words carefully and pick the thoughts that we care to express with even greater care. There’s a reason that many monks take vows of silence. When you have to listen to yourself, you might start changing what you have to say. Listen as we turn our your attention to meaning what we say and saying what we mean.

Watching the river flow

March 27th, 2008

It’s a cliche that we hear often.  Go with the flow.  Barry Stevens in her rembrance of Gestalt therapy pioneer Fritz Perls writes “Don’t Push the River”.  Bob Dylan sings: “But this ‘ol river keeps on rollin’, though.  No matter what gets in the way and which way the wind does blow, and as long as it does I’ll just sit here, and watch the river flow”.  It’s one thing to be smart enough to not resist this powerful flow. It’s quite another and very exciting to be fully in the flow.   In deep concentration and involvement we can release our own energy and thereby realize our full abilities by being in harmony with the infinite power of the universe.  Whether you call it “the zone” or “flow” or finding your groove, this is the place you want to be.

Do you have an underlying belief in scarcity?

March 20th, 2008

Everyone desires an abundant and prosperous life.  But many of us hold onto beliefs in the scarcity of supply.  Whether it’s the belief that abundance simply does not exist, that it’s not for us, that a penny saved is a penny earned — and a penny is not all that much… these deep rooted, inherited, beliefs can be sabotaguing our efforts to take full advantage of the Law of Attraction.  It’s time to let go of the old, embrace positive and constructive change.  The darkest hour might be just before the dawn or the universe may be ready to hit you up side your head with a 2×4, a change is going to come.

Don’t Let Them Get You Down

March 13th, 2008

We’ve all experienced it.  The friend who has more complaints than compliments.  The relative who calls only when disaster strikes.  The co-worker whose car breaks down everyday.  How do we respond to those who bring a constant stream of negatives into our lives?  We suggest the best way is to cultivate an attitude of positive expectation, compassion and love.  No action is necesary, just listening with an open heart and an even more open mind.
